Winning this scholarship means more to me than words can describe. I am a first-generation college and law student who grew up in public housing in Los Angeles. Being a student has always been an important part of my identity and it is my family's dream to see me continue this journey. I always look for opportunities to level the playing field between me and my peers and apply to any scholarship to lessen my financial worries. Finding and winning this scholarship will help me focus on my studies, buy textbooks and be a better law student. Thank you endlessly.
